Technical Services Superintendent – Capcoal Underground Operations
As the Technical Services Superintendent reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will drive the provision of comprehensive short, medium and long-term planning and technical services to support the achievement of the mine’s operational targets. You will generally support all technical services functions as the effective department second in charge.
You will develop and lead your team of engineers to deliver best practice technical services and liaise with the operations team to ensure targets are delivered in accordance with the annual mine plan. In addition, you will utilise your experience and expertise to lead mining projects and facilitate solutions to technical and operational problems.
To be successful in the role, you will hold a bachelor’s degree of Engineering (Mining) or Geology/Geotechnical (or equivalent) with a minimum 5 years' leadership experience within mining operations. Experience within coal will be advantageous. You will have astute business acumen and demonstrated experience in leading a team of professionals to deliver against targets. Your strong interpersonal and negotiation skills as well as your ability to drive performance will be key to your success in the role.
This is a full time permanent staff role working a Monday to Friday roster.
