Mine Technicians (Blast) – Dawson Mine
We would like to invite applications from experienced safety focused Mine Technicians to join our Dawson Mine Blast team. The successful candidate must have a minimum two years’ experience working as part of a blast crew on an open cut coal mine and a HR licence. A Queensland Shotfiring Permit will be highly regarded.
You will have a gained a strong understanding of drill and blast activities and operations on a coal mine site, aware of legislative requirements and have a track record of consistently and safely meeting production targets in line with mine plan.
Some activities will include but not limited to:
- Loading and firing bulk explosives
- Handling of explosive material
- Completing inventory checks
- Working with electronic initiating systems
You will be employed directly under the Dawson Mines Collective Enterprise Agreement 2017 on a 7/7 dayshift roster and we offer subsidised camp accommodation.
