 Diseñar, implementar, evaluar, coordinar y administrar programas y sistemas de higiene ocupacional en la mina para cumplir con el cumplimiento legal y un ambiente de trabajo seguro y saludable, minimizando así el riesgo de litigios y publicidad adversa de la mina.  Garantizar la entrega efectiva y la sostenibilidad de las iniciativas de higiene ocupacional  Identificar condiciones en el lugar de trabajo que puedan causar enfermedades o efectos adversos para la salud de las personas.  Evaluar los riesgos para la salud laboral debido a los peligros identificados.  Evaluar los riesgos identificados y recomendar medidas de control para mitigar dichos riesgos.  Monitorear y evaluar la efectividad de las medidas de control.
