The purpose of this team is to provide Group-wide talent, learning and HRIS solutions that support the Anglo American Group strategy by delivering on the Group Talent Management and Leadership Development agendas.

TYPICAL TASKS

  • Contributes to the execution and implementation of talent management principles, standards and guidelines
  • Supports the Talent Management Advisor with the coordination of the annual talent review and succession planning process, with particular contribution to the management of the inclusive Group-wide succession planning process for executive and non-executive roles
  • Supports the management of talent management related systems to ensure accurate talent information is available across the Group
  • Manages the storage of psychometric assessment data and supports the business with any assessment related queries
  • Supports the Performance Improvement Advisor in building and implementing a Group-wide performance management system
  • Supports the Talent Management Advisor and the Performance Improvement Advisor with the collation and analysis of internal senior talent and performance data, in support of the Anglo American senior leadership people processes
  • Partners with the Manager HR Analytics & Data Governance to develop key talent and performance metrics
  • Coordinates the Talent and Leadership Development Community of Practice with input from the Talent Management Advisor, Head of Leadership Development and Head of Early Talent
  • Partners with Head of Inclusion & Diversity and Head of Leadership Development to design Group-wide mentoring principles, standards and guidelines
  • Assists in the implementation and coordination of the Group-wide mentoring scheme
  • Defines and prepares reports, presentations, figures and metrics on behalf of Group Talent & Learning
  • Initial point of contact for external talent, learning and resourcing/assessment system service providers such as  SHL and John Queripel Associates

Knowledge

  • Numerate, with keen analytical skills, able to synthesis data from multiple sources
  • Experience of working within a similar role ideally within a complex multi-national organisation
  • IM systems that enable talent, performance and HR analytics processes such as SAP, SuccessFactors, Visier or similar

Technical Skills

Ability to:

  • Highly developed analytical and numeracy skills
  • Problem solving and solution generation skills
  • Presentation and report development skills
  • MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel

Ability to:

  • Ability to deal with highly confidential information with tact and discretion
  • Ability to work in a multinational, multicultural, culturally diverse organisation environment – often liaising virtually with colleagues
  • Communicate complex information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in written/presentation form
